WST Workshops

Peer Connections offers one-hour workshops to help students prepare for and pass the Writing Skills Test (WST). Each workshop focuses on information about the WST and strategies for both the essay and the objective portion.

All workshops open for registration on events.sjsu.eduone week before the workshop's date. There is a cap of 30 students per workshop.

All students who sign up for a WST workshop agree to the following policies (with thanks to the SJSU Writing Center):

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
  • Late-comers, registered or not, do not have a guaranteed seat. Workshops start promptly at the scheduled time. If you are late, you risk losing your seat to someone on the waitlist.
  • Do not use cell phones, laptops, or PDAs during the workshop.
  • No food or drink - except bottled water - is permitted in workshops.
  • Children of any age are not permitted at our workshops.
  • Do not bring any additional guests with you. For fire safety reasons, we can only accommodate a certain number of people in each room.
